Alan Edwards is a familiar figure at cat shows around the world as he is a qualified judge for many breeds and successfully shows his own cats. He is President of the Southern British Shorthair Cat Club and the British Ragdoll Cat Club, and Vice President of the Shorthair Cat Club of Scotland and the Bombay Breed Club. After retiring as a teacher in 1992, he became more involved in breeding, judging, and writing about cats. He lives in Suffolk, England, with his wife, June, with whom he has three sons.
Grace McHattie has written twelve cat books including Your Cat Naturally and The Cat Lover's Dictionary and specializes in writing about cat care and behavior. She has been editor of two cat magazines and frequently appears on major television and radio shows. Once a purebred cat breeder herself, Grace runs the welfare organization Adopt-a-Cat.
